Daily ‘Tactical Pause’ in Southern Gaza to Allow Aid

The “tactical pause” announced by the military, which applies to about 12 kilometers (7.4 miles) of road in the Rafah area, falls far short of a complete cease-fire in the beleaguered territory that has been sought by the international community, including Israel's top ally, the United States.
This is good news for many waiting to stave off hunger and starvation in a incresingly complex war. With Prime Minister Netanyahu disbanding his “War Cabinet” last evening, the direction of future food aid and deliveries is unclear.
